How adventurous are you?

Or are you still adventurous?
When I was young I was quite adventurous. I love taking risks. I didn't think much of the dangers nor the consequences. As long as I was having fun, nothing else mattered.
It's different now though. I still love adventures but I am more careful.

I was more adventurous in my youth . . . not that I did ultra crazy things, but I could handle more risks. Now that I have a family and certain body parts just don't work the way they used to, I am a whole lot more conservative about the things I actually do.

@toniganzon I guess it's just easier when we are younger (we don't think as much) . . . when we get older there is so much more to consider (we think too much!).

@much2say That's very true. And when we get older, we are not as physically active and agile as we were in our younger days. When we were young, we thought we could do anything. Like we were invincible. Then as we get older, reality bites.

@AmbiePam I try my best. I didn't want my son to think of me just as a mother who held him back for enjoying his childhood. I waned to be his friend.
That's why until now, we still share our interests to each other.

Yes. I became a worrier when I became a mother. It's different.
But when my son was just a kid and would play dangerous sports, I allowed him to but with me. He used to do downhill longboard and I did the same. I had my own longboard too. Everything he did, I joined him. Though I was a bit scared, I simply cannot be the one to hold him back from enjoying his life as a kid. BEcuae I was just like him back then.

When I was young, sometimes I might do something risky but not that risky anyway. Since I always remember I am the only child to my parents and I can't do anything to let them sad.

Sometimes I get bored with the everyday grind and want some excitement. I once dropped everything...my job, my home, my family and friends...and hopped a bus to the other side of the country. Just because. I am so glad I did, otherwise I would never have had the adventures I had.

I have always been adventurous and daring, and I still am the same way to this day. Well, maybe I’ve toned it down a little bit, but I’m still pretty wild.
