Daughter and her baby have Covid.

This is my Florida family. Daughter is married with 2 little guys, one is 6, one is 2. The 2 year old came down with Covid, and so did mama. She works in a big children's hospital, and she is sure she no doubt brought it home with her. She felt so bad, and the baby had a high fever for several days. They are finally on the mend, but it's been 9 days. She tested negative yesterday, but she is still wiped out tired. He is better, he bounced back a bit quicker. A lot of people here seem to be getting sick as well or have had Covid recently. Everyone, take care. None of us want to go back to those terrible days!

I'm glad they're doing better and hope they don't have any lasting effects.

Yes, my youngest and her baby. The other little guy didn't get sick, and neither did her husband. We were glad of that!

Bless her heart, she probably does feel responsible even though she couldn’t help it. I’m glad to hear the baby bounced back so well though. Do they make them wear masks at the hospital? They just recently stopped requiring staff to wear masks in hospitals around here, although a lot do still wear them.

Yes, they have been wearing masks at her hospital. She hated it that the little guy was so sick. Then she got it worse than he did. She loves her job there, but it is stressful, and to have to take off unexpectedly for Covid was just not in the plan--but it never would be. I am just glad they are on the mend now.

We've almost forgotten about covid here but people are still coming down with it. They stopped reporting cases a long time ago. I hope your daughter and her baby are fully recovered by now.

Covid and another viral illness have been going around here as well. It may be a bad flu season with all the germs.

Oh, I'm delighted they're already on the mend. I hope they were already immunized because the jabs can expedite their recovery. I caught it when there were no immunizations available, so recuperation was difficult, and it took months before I could fully say my strength had returned to normal.

@MarieCoyle Was he vaccinated? If he is then he is the few unfortunate ones that vaccines are not affected.

They were due for a booster when it hit them. I have a friend who has ''Long Covid'' which means serious, lingering effects, labored breathing, etc. He's been like that for months now.

@rsa101 No, he refused to get one. The doctor says he will not recover from this.

@allknowing Yes, they were all vaccinated, the strain of Covid they had was a new variant. They are supposed to get a booster in October again.

It certainly is here in the Midwest. I hope it's not severe, either. Some neighbors, a middle-aged couple, just got out of ICU after two weeks of being ventilated from Covid. They are home but oh, they are shaky.

Yes, it appears to be A person has to think about school starting, I guess Whenever school began here about 5-6 weeks ago, Covid reared it's ugly self and it's steadily gotten worse. I know the kids have to go to school, I do hope all of them are taking a few extra precautions, such as extra sanitation, lots of hand washing, etc.

@LadyDuck Because we all travel so much, and often are in very close proximity to others, that does help to spread disease, CB unfortunately.

Covid is on the rise here too. The new vaccination will be ready in pharmacies next week.. Sorry your daughter and grandchild got covid. Most of my family had covid once and a few had it twice. Only a nephew had a really bad time of it. He was on a ventilator. His heart was damaged and he’s disabled.

@RubyHawk I have one friend who has had Covid twice, both cases so bad she was in the hospital. The last time, she was on a vent. She got vaccinated. Said she never wanted to have it again, I hope she doesn't.
