Calm mind... / myLot

Have you ever just sat and watched a dog or cat sleeping peacefully? That's what I was doing not too long ago and it definitely calmed my mind. It has been a stressful morning and it made me smile to find a source of calm so close by. So peaceful. Not a care in the world. Maybe... maybe our fur babies have their own stresses, who knows. But I, for one, am grateful that fur babies bring such joy into our lives. Sometimes it's just really needed. (Photo of my 12 year old sleepy Doc.)

I love watching Chilly sleep. It does bring joy into my life. He's one of my best friends. I am sure they do, especially when they don't fully understand what we're doing.

That's true... I know he's been stressed out whenever we have moved. He hates (and I do mean HATES) car rides and moving vans doubly so.

@HeatherT Not many animals like to travel. I had cats that would howl their heads off the second we got going. Chilly, we put him in the van, and he's noisy at first, but then gets quiet.

Your handsome Doc looks like the embodiment of serenity in that photo. I couldn't agree more – there's something incredibly calming about watching our fur babies in such peaceful slumber. I've often found myself in the same situation with my own kitty. The moment I see her sleeping so peacefully, I can't resist reaching out to give her some gentle pets. That combination of tranquility and the soft purrs is indeed a magical experience. Our furry companions have an amazing way of bringing calm and joy into our lives when we need it most. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming moment with us!
