I asked the carpenter to repair something on my ceiling. just a small work. but he discovered infestation n on my ceiling as the wood are already badly damaged. it turned into a big major work. Thankfully not all of the house ceiling were damaged. only in one area of about 40 sq meters of ceiling were infected. but still I asked him to spray termite liquid treatment to all areas of the house ceiling as well. but we will spray again just to make sure we covered every corner. from wood, we are replacing different support on the ceiling with c furlings. which is metal. the big trusses have small damages but we won't change it to metal. still using wood trusses. we well just cut the affected trusses and replace it with short wood trusses and connect it together. there's a lot of work at home. almost a month now with so much mess and work. it's very tiring. I'm just trying to be cheerful to not get affected by such big work. i plan after all the work is done that I will do yearly spray of liquid termite treatment by myself if I can.

Those small insects can cause serious damages to a house. I am glad you called to spray the whole area.

@LadyDuck the popular brand is very expensive about $50 for a gallon and to be used without adding water. sold in a hardware and anywhere here. but the cheaper one I used t can be bought online only. It is like $25 for 1 liter. , it just need 20 ml of the chemical added to 1 L of water. It is more economical and yet still very effective.

@hotsummer If it works, why to spend more? I would do the same.

Please wear a protective mask with all this work and if you spray..protect your respiratory system from chemicals.

We have the same problem, it has caused problems on the wood supporting our roof. It has spread every where. Not sure why mom isn't doing anything.
