Monday Chit Chat

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a sunny day here today and chilly. With Thanksgiving being this past Thursday and all the days that followed was like a whirlwind. My daughter has been off from work and two of my grandkids that live nearby were home from college. So, our holidays were stretched into a marathon of eating and visiting. Today life is back to normal. My daughter moaned and groaned about having to work and the grandkids left yesterday afternoon to go back to college. I'm sure my oldest daughter is enjoying her quiet morning since the kids left even though it was fun having them home. My big plan for today is laundry and of course trying to figure out what to make for dinner. Now I'm going to chat here for awhile and see what I've missed these last few days.

I am glad that you and your family had some good quality time together, it sounds like it went by so quickly. Just another few weeks and those college kids will be back home for Christmas, and the eating and fun will start all over again.

@Marilynda1225 She is graduating already? It seems like she just ventured off, how did that happen so quickly? Next will be the twins......

You had a very busy time to celebrate the Thanksgiving. Now you can relax and rest. We all love the holidays, but it's great to be back to a normal routine.

@Marilynda1225 Today my husband had his last CT Scan of the year at the hospital. We had pretty good news, at least on the health side we can relax for a while.

This is the time of year when it's hustle and bustle until the New Year. I'm happy to have today to relax a little and maybe so a bit cyber Monday shopping.

I put laundry off until Wednesday as my dryer is in the garage. Didn't want to go out there

Catching up with family is such a gift. I am glad everyone was able to make it back to visit you and the rest of your family. Your grandkids must have appreciated the cooking since they’ve been eating “college kid” fare.

It certainly was nice having them home. Yeah, most of their meals are hit or miss with their schedules.

It always seems sad to say goodbye to family members after holidays with them. Hope you enjoy time with them again at Christmas.

The day started off dark and gray and I thought it would rain, So I did not do laundry because I would have to dry it outside on my porch railings. Now the sun is out but the day is done, I will put in laundry tomorrow and what do you think will happen then?

I feel like I am always missing something. I thought I posted a certain discussion, but I may have only thought about it. I have not posted today, or maybe I did, just not that one.

Happy Monday to you too! Returning to the routine after such festive times can feel like a shift, but sometimes the calm and quiet are just what we need. Anything special you're thinking of making for dinner?

I'm sure your daughter is thankful for the peace and quiet. It's good to get back to a normal routine. Have a great day. I'm still eating leftovers.
