She asked me for a Christmas card

I got a message from a girl on facebook that I really very rarely interact with. She messaged me and said she is making a friends and family card thing on her wall for Christmas.
She gave me her address and said if I want to send a photo of my family etc.
I told her I haven’t taken family Christmas photos since my older two were small. They started hating to have their photo taken and so I didn’t make them.
She said that’s okay she just wants a card she’s been down and wanted something to cheer her up. I’m making two cards for Courtlynn and her mom so I figured well what’s one more of it can make someone happy.
I did think later on I wonder how many people this girl messaged and how many will send her one as friends or out of obligation.

That sounds a bit odd for her to ask but I guess there's no harm sending her a card.

@Marilynda1225 I was debating on making you one when she asked and I knew I wouldn’t have time to make four cards. I have a craft I want I make for my niece and I need to get the Christmas tree up tonight since my husband hasn’t been able to get a real. The baby is finally napping next to me after reading 7 Christmas books. I figured I’d catch up here then go clean and finish making dinner. I had to take the photo down on the cards I made for Courtlynn, her mom and this girl since Courtlynn popped in here and I don’t want to spoil the surprise. I’ll put the photo back up after she receives it in the mail.

@LindaOhio thank you! I had to take the photo down quick Courtlynn popped in here which I didn’t expect since she never comes around anymore. tagged her in something and didn’t even realize it and she popped in. She said she didn’t see my cards though hopefully not it will have ruined the surprise since I just put them in the mail that day they won’t arrive for a few days.

@allknowing I think so too. I mailed it out today it should get there within two days. I am driving to that area where she lives probably Thursday but I had ones to go to the post office so I mailed them all at the same time.

She must really be feeling blue to cold-call message you like that. This is a time of year when many people struggle, so she could be going through a tough period.

@moffittjc yep she said she’s been really down and just wants a card to cheer her up basically so since I told her I’d get to make her a homemade one like with Courtlynn and her mom but if I didjntnhabe time I could always send her a store bought one. I worked for about an hour and got all three cards made. She thanked me in her messages and said it was beautiful. Hopefully it cheered her up a little and now she has a new puppy who could be down with a new puppy to play with . I’ll share a photo of the cards after Courtlynn tells me she has received it.

@marguicha I haven’t seen her since high school and once in a great while she messages me but I don’t really feel like I’m a friend of hers enough to have photos of my kids on her wall. Hopefully my card will make her happy though

@RebeccasFarm good grief this morning she sent me this message. Now if you are asking others to send you cards why wouldn’t you buy cards ahead of time ingest of waiting until yesterday the 19th of December to look for cards to buy and send out. Most wouldn’t even arrive until after Christmas.

Making cards is a pleasant thing to do.When I was in school, our classmates used to give cards as gifts, but we never made them ourselves. Most of the time, we spent money buying them from stores, but I felt that the cards we made were more thoughtful
