I argued with my toxic boss

Last Friday, the last day of the final exams my toxic boss called me. At first, I was adamant to come nearer her she's scandalous and I didn't want to get involved with her behavior, but I have to or else. She calmly told me that could I extend my time up 6:30 in the evening. I raised by eyebrows for refusal. She failed to realize that I started proctoring exams at 9 in the morning up to 4:30 in the afternoon. I felt so tired and wanted to drop my body on bed. I told her sorry madam I'm so tired. I proctored almost whole day nonstop, almost all teachers. The reason was it's her subject I'll proctor. She wanted to go home at 4. She has no choice but called others. I'm not her slave and it's the national government that pays teachers. What a shameless and insensitive superior.

@LadyDuck That's true, I was extremely tired that day. She felt insulted but I ignored. I have to listen to my body. This day, we met in the office and didn't talk to me it's not my problem anymore.

@LadyDuck, nah she remains high and mighty. We only concentrate on our work no talking inside. She doesn't understand the silence of the people inside the office.

You did right to deny here for the same. She is paid for the job and she should work for it.

@cacay1 I would be overjoyed if such a boss didn't talk to me - what a relief for today anyway. She must not make the connection that if one is nicer to people, they might be more willing to listen/help.

@much2say yeah that was my feeling. There is deafening silence in the office once she's around. She can't get.

This business of managers nowadays leaving before the crew is a trend that is crazy to me. When I was a manager you were first and last out. Period. Manager does not mean King.

@porwest, yes you're so right a manager isn't a king. It's also observed here that it's the manager to stay in the office last. My boss is different she wants to be regarded superior.

Ooopsy!!! I am so glad, you refused. I did something similar, though not to a boss though. We don't need to work on weekends, not even bound to attend any calls, though I did. I shooed him away stating, its my weekend and I have family, will talk work on Monday
