Good afternoon from windy, cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The current temperature according to my computer is 42 F. Right where it was when I got up this morning. The weather man said it wouldn't stray from that number today. I guess he was right. The wind has been gusting, but I don't know how much except that my tree is shivering in the wind and so are the trees across from my patio.
Last Friday my weigh-in weight was 203.2. I'll start there. I still haven't strayed far from that number either.

Friday, February 9 - Weight - 204.7.
I expected the weight gain this morning. The beef stew my neighbor gave me yesterday was sodium loaded. Sodium equals water weight. I expect to shed those few ounces by Sunday.
Tuesday was my lowest weight this week before the Writer's Guild meeting at the restaurant. I'm hoping to get back to that weight and lower soon.
Okay, that's how my week looks. How are you doing with your weight? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

I weighed myself a week ago tomorrow because the predisone that they started me on was supposed to cause a bit of weight gain.
I gained just 1 pound, but lost that pound as well as 2 more within a few days.
I need to eat a little better, I have lost my appetite with not feeling well, but this is unhealthy and I am trying to fix that.

Yes, but it's been this way for a couple of weeks now. I need to see a drop again. Maybe today. I drank a lot of water yesterday and did a good job flushing all the sodium out of my system. At least I hope so. I was up every two hours last night.

I think you did well...true sodium can mean water weight...but at least that is not too hard to lose.
I was way up with my weight Monday, but got it back down by eating lower carbs and calories (more so lower calorie) most of the week. My weight will probably be much higher tomorrow though because of how I ate today.

@just4him I was actually down, maybe I got enough walking in to make up for the extra food.
Probably will be up after today for sure.

I get stuck every once in a while. I haven't gained and haven't lost. I have maintained for a long time now. This week was very hard and extremely stressful around here...somehow I lost 4 pounds without even trying. But that's ok, as long as I stay basically within a 5 lb span, which I am for now.
You are doing well maintaining, that's so important. Plus, you are aware and exercising. Be proud of yourself, Valerie!

Oh, I know you want to lose and not just maintain. But maintaining is a LOT better than gaining!

Thank you. It's a lot of work. If I'm over the mark with calories, I up my exercise on the foot cycle. It always works to keep it in balance.

I am not a friend of salt at all. When I was pregnant with my daughter I would blow up like a balloon whenever I ate anything with salt in it. I can feel my fingers swell to this day. Salt was used in the pioneer days to keep meat. Salt comes in many forms and can be found in manufactured food of all kinds.

@just4him ......We need some but not a lot. They did find a few years back that we actually need a little more than was previously thought of. I leave it out too. The kids can add some if they like.

I started blowing up when I broke my right ankle and then again when I broke my left leg. Since then, salt has been my enemy. There is sodium in most fresh foods. You don't need to add processed foods to your diet to get the sodium requirements your body needs. So, I don't add salt to anything. Not even when a recipe calls for it. I leave it out.

I don't think I can complain to much. George and I are doing well. I haven't gained, but I'm maintaining. So I suppose that's better than nothing.

I'm holding steady at 14 pounds lost. Maybe being by myself and since it's hard for me to get back and forth to the kitchen, I will lose more. Have a good weekend.

Thank you. I need to get rid of these last few pounds to 200 before my next doctor's appointment in March. I expect he'll be happy with the loss, but I need to be below 200 so I'm no longer prediabetic.
I'm glad you don't need to worry about your weight.
Thank you. I hope it will be a good weekend.

That's a lotta numbers to read. But I am very impressed by your determination to be healthy and lose weight. Good job, Val.
Indeed, we take good care of our body (vessel) and that's what our Creator wants us to do, right?
