Foggy Friday and a new bread

Woke up to being fogged in this morning. Its like being inside a cloud that is just sitting and not going anywhere. And its gray. Really the sort of weather that makes me feel listless. To at least attempt to be a useful person today, I decided on a new filled bread recipe, a variation of sorts on some of the Ossetian breads I've been experimenting with. Dough is made from half cup flour, half cup course cornmeal (or semolina), pinch salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, half a beaten egg, 1 tablespoon oil and 1/3 cup yoghurt. Kneaded and left to set while I chop and mix the filling. Filling: chopped spring onions, minced fresh garlic, rest of the egg, cumin, marjoram, mayonnaise, cottage cheese, chopped hard cheese and chopped dill. Mix together. Divide dough into 4 pieces, roll each piece to a thin square about 12cm (5in) wide and place filling on two pieces, cover with the other two pieces and fold over the edges. Heat oil and butter in a pan, cook the two breads till brown on one side, add more butter to the pan and flip to cook the other side. Eaten while hot with some soup. Good thing I was energetic, I think it made the fog lift Time to go for a walk. Hope your Friday is shaping to be a good start to your weekend

Your bread looks really nice, I like to try different breads because I get fed up with eating the same old white sliced.

Cannot bake, the oven here does not work properly. So I've become the man with a pan

Those sound interesting, I like fresh bread to go with soup and this doesn't need any rising time.
