This Call is Restricted

I talked to a friend last night. In the middle of the call, I heard her hang up.Then she called back and asked if I heard that. She said a voice said to hang up because the number you called was restricted. I don't know what that was all about. I wondered if we had talked about the wrong politicians or said something someone did not like. Google suggested that we talked too much or the bill was not paid. They deduct the payment from my bank every month so that was not the reason. What do you think the reason was? How could she call back if my number was restricted. Has this happened to you or someone you know?

I've never heard of such a thing; and it sounds very ominous to me. I'd ask the phone company about it. Have a good day.

All the phone company cares about is, "Where is the money that you owe us?" Calling is useless because you can never understand the person you get on the phone.

@LindaOHio Me too. How is someone in India or the Philippines supposed to understand your problem and if they have a solution, you can't understand them? Customer service is not service.

@akalinus That's for sure. I hate those foreign call centers.

Yes, it is. We do talk a lot. Maybe they think we talk too long and too often.

It sounds like a scam of some kind. Like the call had been tapped or someone was listening in. Your number is fine. If the call truly was restricted, then it would never have gone through.

That is what I thought too. She called back right away and told me about the weird thing they were saying. I am just worried that we said something to tiff off someone in power.

Jay and I are constantly figuring the other one hung up on us. It happens often, because we have a Samsung phone. They want us to run out and buy a new phone, because our present one isn't working. I will never buy another Samsung phone, they use sneaky gimmicks to get customers to buy a new phone.

I have a Samsung phone, too. I wonder if the hangup thing will happen more often. I never thought about it from that angle, the one where you "need' a new phone.

@kobesbuddy My phone acts goofy sometimes, even after I restart. What kind of phone would you recommend looking at?

@akalinus Samsung uses all types of sneaky gimmicks. The customer combats those annoyances, by purchasing a brand new phone! When I do, it won't be a Samsung phone.

It is new to me. Did you call Samsung and see if they have any answers? Thanks for sharing.

I don't call the phone company unless I have to. They never "understand" what you mean and probably could care less too.
