The windscreen chip that wasn't a chip

The photo shows golf balls which we’ve hung from the ceiling to tell us when we’re in the right place to stop to allow the garage doors to come down safely behind the cars.
A few weeks ago, a stone flew up while we were driving and chipped the windscreen of our Prado. Our insurance pays for one new windscreen a year without us losing our no-claim bonus. The repairer came to our place and replaced the screen without any trouble.
Then, last week, we discovered a chip in the windscreen of the other car. Again, we called the insurance company and a nice young man came out to fix it. However, it turned out to be a mark on the inside of the screen and not a chip at all. We were a bit embarrassed to say the least but he was good about it and didn’t charge us anything.

Thank you for sharing this good break you had dealing with the windscreen insurance not charging you for the incidents related to the windscreen.

We were going to put down planks but I reckoned if we were doing any projects in the garage, we'd be forever tripping over them.
