Hey early myLot gang, how was your weekend? I ended up going to an event I wasn’t even planning on going to.. my niece & nephew’s (twins) Christening. (I wasn’t invited, neither was my uncle, or my other niece) so I figured, good. But then I got a last minute invite and I was like oh crap, now I don’t know what the heck to wear and I just grabbed the first semi-fancy top I found in my closet and got ready in a matter of minutes. The Mass was probably the longest Mass in history, managed a little cat-nap while the priest was talking, woke up and didn’t know where I was. But here comes the fun part. After Church, we all went to this really cool restaurant on the lake. I got the chance to order not one but two high-protein/high-fat dishes because I couldn’t decide. Plus potatoes cuz I still need just a few carbs so I don’t end up in some kind of hypoglycemic coma. Got some pics of the food to show my carni-friends, I know I did them proud. This new carnivore doctor I‘ve been working with has been helping me SO MUCH, she said if your adrenals are shot, or stressed, or just plain tired.. then you will have bouts of racing thoughts, hyperactivity, restlessness, and lots of overthinking. I’ve had all of this since maybe the age of.. 15? -ish. She said to fix this, you need to only focus on the adrenals, and the rest will resolve on its own. That’s exactly what I was trying to do for my New Year’s resolution. No wonder I couldn’t succeed. So now I’m all hopeful again, because I just wasn’t going about it the right way. Now I know what to do. She said the adrenals love fat and depend on it for fuel. But the honest, simple fat, like butter and tallow, not grease and NO SEED OILS! I already knew that, but she taught me how to slowly drop all grains without going into withdrawal. (Yes, wheat works on your happiness receptors the same way opioids do.) So you have to do it slowly.. and I’m just sticking to potatoes as my one carb. Then I managed to find an ex-boyfriend lookalike for my niece. I told her, Savanny, if you miss him, I can get you out of this hell. I will find you an exact replica of him, just give me a few weeks. I am the great replacer, ask anyone in this family. She didn’t believe me. Well, I found him. He was working at the restaurant and his job was packing ice. Not only does he look exactly like her ex, this kid is CUT, so he’s even bigger and better. I took about 15 pics of him, he didn’t even know. Sent them to my niece, told her I found her a little present. She was like So that’s good. My job in this life is to NEVER let that little girl get hurt or be unhappy. I get the feeling I’ll be going back to that restaurant soon, with her. Pic is of me drinking club soda with lime. (They remembered the lime!) If I look happy, it’s because I had two meat-filled dishes coming my way and I already found a replacement bf replica for my niece. How was your weekend? Also, I urge everyone to watch this video immediately. LLLMMMMAAAOOOOO

@Melanie_Marie I think these conditions are all on the rise here too although maybe not quite as much as in America.

Thanks Judy. It’s good you’re in Australia, here in the U.S., most people follow the SAD diet (Standard American Diet). Anxiety & depression are up, obesity is up, insomnia is up, diabetes up. Can’t blame the Internet, can’t blame Covid, this was already starting years before. Even our wheat products are nothing like they were 20 years ago. Even 5 years ago. It’s a shame. Take care my friend :)

On Saturday I watched some telly and did some reading. On Sunday I didn't go to Church because of the weather and I had the stomach ache. Instead I watched Freedom Church on YouTube. Later I listened to some CDs, cooked my lunch and listened to some more CDs. Then I washed up, got my tea and watched some more telly. I watched the end of Crufts and Big Brother. Then I went to bed.

@sharonelton Aw sorry to hear. But that’s Spring weather for ya. Just think of all the seeds getting a nice drink of water before they sprout.

A lovely pic of you Mels..you look so beautiful and happy. Glad you are doing well now with this doc's advice. Oh yes spuds..have to have them no matter what the program. I know about Mass..only I only remember the Latin Masses, no English, so now that they are in English..I do not know what the heck to do. Your niece is lucky to have you..the Matchmaker. Tell her to watch that movie too, after all it is St Pats this month. It is a lovely movie she would love. Weekend was suck here..oh my if only you knew.

Ok, we’ll have to watch it then. I’ll tell her about it. We are getting to stay in a hotel room starting Thurs. (Home repairs so we can sell the house.) What happened over the weekend? You don’t have to tell me in detail if you don’t want to (on here) but fear not, I’ve had crappy weekends too. Well, boring weekends. But now I’m doing more because I feel pretty good. Xx Thanks pretty lady

Glad that the doctor is able to help you with your diet. And that you got to go to the christening of your niece and nephew.

Your weekend sounds fun and you look pretty and happy there in the picture. My weekend didn't feel like a weekend. This is the last working week and I am working on only three days.. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week. So, I had to get a lot done from home for the work. I could catch up with some late night TV watching and a long nap on Sunday afternoon
