3/27/24 - Update on My Husband

One of the nurses from the rehab facility called last night with a message from my husband to bring his cell phone and charger. I already have the phone on the charger and have it on my list to bring. I told her to tell him that I'm OK.
The plan is still that his cousin/godson will be taking me to see him on Friday. I'm pretty much over this being alone stuff. I can't wait to see him.

@LindaOHio - We have special services run by volunteers here. They come to your home, help to dress and drive you where you need. I am sorry you have nothing like that.

@LindaOHio That always takes time. If you are in bed for a long time your muscles have less energy.

Mentally he is OK. He just needs to get up and walk again. That will take time.

Has his mobility improved as far as sitting up and standing? I hope that he is making good progress.

He's 100% back to his old self mentally. And he says he's feeling stronger!!!

No. My visit was cancelled because his cousin was sick. Got to see him today though!

When hubby was hospitalized he had his cell phone but no charger. He was in isolation and the entire floor was in lockdown. Hospital staff needed to be my courier.

@LindaOHio none of the hospital rooms my husband has occupied in the last year has had a phone. He now has his cellphone with him /hopefully also his charger. I changed his plan to unlimited so he’s never unreachable.

If he was still in the hospital, he'd have a phone. The rehab facility has no phones for short-term patients. I think that's wrong!

I can't imagine being away from my S/O for that long...so I can understand being over the being alone stuff. Hopefully you can see him Friday, and then he'll be home ASAP
