My Latest Nightmare

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Happy Sunday to everyone else. I'm doing good, thanks for asking. I just thought of sharing this nightmare I had because it's kind of cool. Memories are strongly linked to emotions, no wonder nightmares are the easiest to remember. I hardly ever remember my dreams, so I'm glad I had this one. I was lying on my bed, ready to sleep, but my phone was on a call. I didn't know who it was, I didn't even care. All I wanted was to hang up but the phone didn't work. The screen was black and the phone wasn't responding to any input. It was dead, yet it kept on talking. I was too scared to even listen. Or I was tired. Or something else, but sure thing I wasn't listening. All I did before leaving the room in despair was asking this voice who it was. "Who are you?" "I'm you." Woah, that was truly creepy! The voice sounded normal, I don't recall the gender but it was normal. The whole context made it demonic though. We were speaking Italian, so it had nothing to do with the 'Yu and Mi' meme. So I fled to my mother's room. I told her I was afraid I was developing schizofrenia. Then a couple spiders appeared. If you suffer from arachnophobia I don't recommend reading this paragraph any further. I didn't mind that pair of tiny harmless cuties. Later, hordes of spiders appeared from behind the bed. They looked like masses of tangled hair. And they began crawling on me. I was more afraid of hurting them than being hurt. Nevertheless, I was scared once again. I endured these tickling armies until some attempted to touch my eyes. My eyes were closed so they were trying to put their legs under the lid to touch the bulb. Eww. I couldn't take it anymore, I stood up and threw the spiders off my face. And I woke up. Alors, the part where spiders are involved didn't bother me much. I have a good opinion about spiders. They build webs to catch other insects. They're loners who want to be left alone. Yet, they protect us, so I see them as guardians. Of course, I would have preferred another type of guardian, a winged one perhaps, but I won't be picky. The call that couldn't be avoided was instead very scary. Was that really me? Is it the infamous dark side each of us has? Does it mean I'm not paying attention to a part of me? Was it my inner child that begged to be heard? I feel sad now. I'm going to rewatch that 'Yu and Mi' scene hoping it'll cheer me up. Photo taken from Pixabay.
