Why Cheese? by Ellen Mint is a rom-com Cheese Shifter romance. This shifter romance is based on the fact that 4 men can turn into cheese. They are cheese in the daytime and at night they turn into their human form. The main character that the book focuses on the most is Violet a human woman in here twenty. She leaves home to clean out her great uncle's old cheese shop but what she doesn't know is that there is a secret in the basement of the shop. One that holds 4 cheese that's been locked away. Violet deals with a mental health illness of OCD. She also has a toxic relationship with her mon is supper controlling. I found the book interesting. I gave it 4 stars, I think there could be more to the plot overall. The smut level was good it wasn't like it was every page but at some point, there was some in each chapter but I loved the banter. The funny dialog between the characters made the book very interesting as well as Violet talking about her OCD in the form of gremlins.
