It was Shocking

My best friend texted me a picture of a deer on her lawn. It was injured. Her mailbox was lying in pieces in the yard. There were also car parts on the ground from the car that hit the deer.
She called the police who came out and put it out of its misery at 1 am. She watched out the window and it was still a shocking thing. She was so wound up from it that she could not sleep and we talked for over an hour.
You never know what will happen that never happened to you before.
Have you ever had a strange experience, something you never expected?

Poor deer! With that happening right in front of her own place, I don't doubt it was very shocking.
On that note, a friend and I once drove on the usual freeway home late at night . . . on the side we saw this animal with red eyes - and waving its arms . . . it was just the oddest, freakiest thing to see. We concluded it was a racoon or something like that and it must've just gotten hit by a car

How sad. I'm glad they were able to end its misery. If it went into the woods, it would suffer. Now I'm sad.

Nothing like that. Only thing strange we've seen was the dog that was walking along the highway.

How sad and shocking.
Yes I was sitting outside here at the table that was here, gone now, but anyway I watched an SUV flip and fly into the air and land on it's side right near us.

@akalinus Right now I recalled an incident that happened when I was 18 or 19.We had to play a football match.The ground where the match was to be played was a little away from my house.A railway crossing was in between my house and the ground.When we arrived there;a train was about to pass;and the gate was closed.There were about 50 people assembled on both sides of the railway track waiting for the gate to open.
A old woman;who was a beggar came.She was blind and deaf.
The train arrived and suddenly the old woman proceeded and before we could understand anything;went ahead in the middle of the tracks.Just then the the speeding train arrived and the poor;old woman was crushed.
It was so shocking.Parts of her frail body were scattered on the tracks.
