About two month ago my HP laptop went into an automatic upgrade, which has happened before and it was fine. But this time it added 3 more browsers and asked me to say which one she wanted to use as default browser and I chose Chrome which I already use and have been for years. However in the morning when I turn the laptop on it one comes up and I X it out, the same with a second and a third, then I get to use my Chrome. So I figured that was it, but several times a day Chrome will close and I go through this whole process again! There are certain places online that when I try to sign in it says I have to also put in a code they sent me on my cell phone. But it was one of my old numbers! So I try to change my phone number and they won't let me. Then everytime I try to go on something they tell me that my password is old , it was changed 7 days ago, time to change it again!!!!!! It's not just me, there are other people telling me the same thing!

You can stop the browser by going into your settings and chosing chrome. I've had the password thing happen, a lot of sites get crupted and that doesn't help.

I stated that I did choose Chrome, but I am still getting the other browsers pop up.

Yeah That's why I love my desk top, cause my laptop is ALWAYS wanting to upgrade & tell me I have virus's & I reload upgrade & it STILL comes up the same thing so I just don't bother with doing it every 5 mins.

@2ndchances24 Being that I am not able to lift anything over 10 pounds I can't deal with a desk top.

That is rather weird. you'd think that if they were going to change their system they would notify users.

the issue seems complicated, sometimes,a upgrade cause more problems, this is why i porhibited automatic upgrades on my both phone and laptop.Unless the upgrade is must,i won't accept upgrades.Hope your issue regarding upgrade will be fixed soon.

it's too complicated to find a solution if the developer doesn't analyze the cause of what you're and others experiencing.
