But when hasn't it? I mean everyone wants gold right? I wonder why. It is not going to do you any good, with a herd of wild zombies coming at you is it? What good would it do?

The price rising is good for those who have it. I suppose they could throw it at the zombies,

The price of gold and silver isn't really something I pay attention to but I did hear that gold is rising in price. Wish I had some I could sell and make some extra bucks

I find it interesting that a report said the price of oil is falling, considering what is happening in the Middle East. Didn't know about gold price, but not surprised

If the wild zombies are going to buy up my gold, maybe we can talk . But it wouldn't do me any good anyway . . . I don't have that much gold .

It's a rare chemical element with special properties, for sure. I can't tell if it's overrated though. It's employed in electronics, I've seen people extracting it from old computers. So the demand has never decreased despite it's no longer used to make coins or flaunt wealth, at least not as often as in the past. I should start taking alchemy more seriously and figure out how to make the philosopher's stone.

I saw that on our news yesterday. I don't understand how commodity prices go up and down like they do.

Price of gold almost always rises when the economy is in bad shape. We can thank excessive government spending under the Biden administration for the current rise in price. Gold is very speculative and when people worry about the weakening value of the dollar they flock to buy gold. Why, because of factors like inflation and the National Government Debt increasing by trillions of dollars daily. Increased Government spending on things like climate change and foreign assistance in Ukraine, and now Israel has raised the debt ceiling making the dollar's purchasing power weaker not only here, but around the world. In a nutshell, investors believe gold will retain its value and be a safe haven for those who invest in it when times become hard. This cost is passed on to the consumer who buys gold products like rings and jewelry. Darn it, why did I sell my H.S. class ring so soon! I should have known when this illegal, incompetent president came out with Bidenomics I should have waited to sell... Hope that helps OT!
