Excitement in the Neighborhood

I heard the sirens, but didn't think anything about it until my son's girlfriend called to ask if I was all right. She said police were everywhere with the firetruck and ambulance.
I didn't know anything about what was going on out there. Well, I know now.
As I was leaving to go downtown, I saw one of the gentlemen who live here. He told us he heard the shooting and saw one guy running and asking for help.
Two guys were involved, one left in a bodybag.
When I got home the police were still here. I grabbed some pictures. The news guy was here too, so I'm sure someone will have it as Shooting on the East Side.
It's one thing to hear it on the news and you're nowhere near where the incident happened. It's another when it's in your neighborhood.
That's today's excitement. Now, I'll turn it back to your happenings in your neighborhood. I hope it's more peaceful where you are.

Edit: Someone came to my door just now and said we were to shelter in place. They're still looking for someone. She also told me a woman was lying in the street, and was taken away in the ambulance. So, no, I won't be going anywhere for the rest of the afternoon.

That's scary and awful that it happened in your neighborhood! Lately, we have quiet neighbors. I hope it stays that way.

With the way things are going these days with all these illegals
& got aways there's NO WAY our areas can stay safe anymore.

Oh, my goodness. It's pretty peaceful here in our neighborhood. We have had some interesting things happen but not recently.

I'm sorry. It doesn't seem to matter where a person lives, in a city, town, village, apartment or a house or a mobile home--shootings happen absolutely everywhere. I know I have had a scare or two and friends in other places have as well. I am glad they told you to stay inside when it was needed so you could be safe.

@MarieCoyle I'm glad I wasn't either. By the time I got out there, the police were wrapping everything up. I saw a news camera, and when I went online, I saw all the stations were here.

Thank god our lives are kind of boring over here. I still have sheets to fold, a bed to make and stuff to get out of the washer and into the dryer. Our washer and dryer have been busy because George wanted me to wash some extra stuff.

@just4him In one of my former neighborhoods, there was some crime activity near my residents a few year ago. It was scary to see the police cars in the area.
