Fried ice cream

My previous interesting ice cream discussion was about lavender flavoured ice cream and today the kids went one step further and had fried ice cream. It tasted very different - not something I particularly enjoyed! The fried outer coating did not gel well with the inner ice cream. Lots of others were raving about it, so I may be the odd person out!

I have tried fried ice cream a couple of times. Who would have thought taking hard ice cream, coating it, and dropping the concoction into a vat of hot oil would not melt it. Instead, you have a hard shell of crispy tasting flavors mixed with a melt in your mouth soft ice cream. I found it delicious!
