4/21/24 - Update on My Husband

There was no physical therapy yesterday of course since it was Saturday. I still think that's such a waste.
My husband's cousin picked up the $9,000 check and will deliver it on Monday for me. The bill came in for the copay; and it was not the $4,000 that I expected. It was only $1,218. Now all we will owe will be 5 days a week of physical therapy.
One of my MyLot friends sent me some money via PayPal. My heart is warmed by the friendship and generosity of the people on this site; but I cannot and will not accept these funds. DO NOT send me any money, as I will immediately refund it to your account. We are more than comfortable; and I was simply complaining about how expensive it is to continue residency on a self-pay basis. I was not in any way, shape or form asking for money.
Each one of you is more important to me than you can ever know. Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts.

It is good that you are able to look after things on your own financially.
Now, that everything is done on a business matter, he is in a better position to make the requests that he should to be able to finish his stay there and get the most out of the assistance and therapies that he is receiving.

I don’t remember my mom getting respiratory therapy on the weekends when she was in a rehab facility after being diagnosed with COPD. They’d probably have to pay overtime or have the “PT union” griping.
It’s nice to know that people are willing to help. My brother dropped everything he was doing and got on a Greyhound when I broke my ankle in Chicago back in 2015. Yesterday he asked me to go somewhere for him and I said, “Sure.” He said, “Don’t you even want to know WHERE?” 
When I found out it was to take a CARE package to my niece (who’s got either the flu or covid, or both 
) I was elated.
And if I had to write out a $9,000 check after paying insurance premiums out the wazoo I’d be furious, too! Don’t blame you for venting.

You're such a goodhearted person. Yes, it's annoying to have to dig into our retirement funds to pay for something that should be covered by insurance. Have a good week.

That was a pleasant surprise on the co-pay. Nice of the Mylot friend that sent you the $$. The people on here are awfully nice. I do so agree. Take care.

Thank you so much. It's annoying to dip into our retirement fund when insurance should be covering the costs; but my husband needs that physical therapy.

Good news about the copay! I went to my eye doctor's office to pay the bill, but it seems there were a couple of items that were coded incorrectly, so they are going to get it straightened out for me.

I'm sure glad that things are going good as far as
getting the bills paid, I wish I could get mine paid
but it's going to take me a life time PLUS to get
mine paid off, but oh well sue me, you won't get nothing.
