Monday Smiles

Happy Monday Everyone! it's sunny but a wee bit chilly. Only in the 50s F today.
The weekend came and went quicker than I wanted. Yesterday my son and family came for a visit and we were able to bring up all their vacation phots up on the tv. For those that don't know my son and daughter in law went to the Maldives to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
The pictures and videos were amazing and it certainly looked like a vacation for the rich and famous.
We had a great day together and my son will be coming back soon to put up a ceiling fan in my daughters bedroom and install some grab bars for me in my bathroom shower.
I always have a "honey do list" to keep him busy 
My grandson (his youngest son) will be graduating next month from high school. He's the second one to finish school a year early. His brother did the same thing. So, next month when we're all together for Mother's Day we'll be adding his graduation along with the three birthdays we have that month.
As the grandkids gets older it's harder and harder to find time for everyone to be together. So many obligations for everyone.
Today is a good day. 
Spending time with family really boosted my spirits.
I don't have to do any cleaning today because we cleaned before company.
I have a small pork tenderloin that I'm making for dinner so I don't even have to break my brain trying to think of something to cook.

@Marilynda1225 well if you call working on the cabin fun then yea we did
we got some vapor barrier up & some alum flashing down around the walls
the old ceiling fan down & some wiring done that needed to be fixed.

My son and my grandsons are pretty good at doing stuff around the house. I'm lucky I have them to count on when things need to be done. Since they're all so tall they come in handy for changing the batteries in the smoke detectors and light bulbs.

@Marilynda1225 It would be handy (pardon the pun) if Vince was a bit taller but he's very good at DIY otherwise - and there are always ladders.

How nice to have a visit from them. Family photos are such fun to look at and share. Kids do tend to grow don't they?
Pork tenderloin. Yum! I love pork and that is one of my favorites.

Kids seem to go from babies to teens in the blink of an eye. Crazy how fast time flies.

Sounds like an amazing Sunday for you and your family. I certainly understand how difficult it is to find time to spend with families when everyone m meaning the young ones, are so busy with their activities, jobs, etc…..
It’s so nice that your son and DIL celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and in the Maldives, no less!
You certainly have a lot to look forward to on Mother’s Day this year!

Finding time is hard with everyones busy schedules. It was the first time we've been able to visit in awhile.
My son wanted to do their 20th anniversary with a bang and I think he accomplished his goal. They had a wonderful time even though the traveling to get there was long.

Any place worth traveling to makes distance obsolete!

I’m glad you got to see them. I’m starting to get nostalgic when I start reading about other family’s growing up, and everyone’s lives going so many different ways. Sure, it’s life, but I think of my beloved grandparents and mom, and I miss them. Still yet, seeing the young ones grow up and start their lives is quite exciting.

I get nostalgic too about days gone by and people who are no longer with us. I'm sure you're making memories with your nieces and nephew and they'll remember how much fun they had when they were growing up.
