So far the cats are not impressed with the new cat tower

I've wanted to get one for my cats for years but they always were so expensive. I had an empty space in the bedroom near one of the windows that I thought would be perfect for one. I ordered it on Amazon and it was delivered yesterday afternoon. My downstairs neighbor and her son came up and assembled it for me because I am clueless about that stuff.[ em]surrender[/em] I sprinkled lots of catnip on it and both Charlie and Adso totally ignored it. This afternoon I got back from work and they were both. . . asleep on my bed. I picked each of them up and placed them on the cat tree. Adso ate some of the catnip and then jumped down. Charlie jumped down immediately. I hope that they will eventually learn to like it. We shall see.

Your bed is home, I suppose.

I've only had the bed for like 4 months. For 4.5 years I was sleeping on a mattress that was directly on the floor.

@NJChicaa The cats know a good thing when they see one, obviously!

Once they get used to it, they will be on it forever.

It took my cat weeks or maybe months to enjoy his cat bed. Now he is in it often. They will have to discover it on their own and decide it is a good idea.

Best of luck with that. I have a big cat tree. Only Freddie has spent time on it both as a kitten and later on, Today they're both 2 years old and that cat tree might as well be a statue I bought for my front room,

I am hoping that your cats will enjoy their new cat tower. I am sure your cats will like their new home soon since it took a while for my cats to enjoy their new tower.

It can take cats a while to adapt to new things.

That's an expensive thing to be ignored! I hope they will get to appreciate it in time.

Maybe it will attract some raccoons.

Don't you hate when that happens? We bought a bed for one of our Elkhounds; and he refused to use it.

You need to put mice in the tower. Then the cats will like you forever.Or at least until mealtime.
