Perhaps you remember me talking about this year as being the big year for cicadas. Trillions of cicadas are causing residents in South Carolina to call the Sheriff's Office about siren noises and a loud roar. The Newberry County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that the whining is the sound of the male cicadas attracting mates. The broods emerging are on a 13 or 17 year cycle.
Our housekeeper picked up some prescriptions for me and then came over and did the trash. She will pick up some groceries for me later this week.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken, rice, mixed veggies, carrots, Mandarin oranges
Dessert/Snack - Mini vanilla wafers
Dinner - PB&J sandwich

Yesterday was a chicken taco salad, again so big that it made two meals (or maybe I’m eating less because my IBS is acting up). And apples & cinnnamon!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe they should send that Bizarre Foods guy Andrew Zimmern to South Carolina to eat all the cicadas.

I thought we were supposed to get them this year? I will have to check. Nope. No cicadas for us this year thank goodness!!!

I didn't know they could get that loud.
Your meal looks good.
I had Fiber One with blackberries, and a banana for breakfast. Lunch was leftovers - leg of lamb with a baked potato and carrots. My snack was an iced oatmeal cookie at Bible study.

I keep wondering if we will have them around here. We might, it looks like we are kind of on the border. I was living in the northern part of the state when they came in one year..what a mess. I can seriously do without them. This area is buggy enough. Although, I think they will eat other insects. Fine by me!

Had some fish fillet and rice for dinner.
I'm on OMAD diet (one meal a day diet). Diet, ugh, hate that word.

That's good she'll do that for you.
I'd skip your lunch, the rest sounds good. I had protein for breakfast, but then carbs the rest of the day.
