My mother and I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and left the house by 4:40, riding our e-bike to the hospital. We were thankful that e-bikes are still allowed on the road. Arriving at 5:10, we were early, as the public hospital staff had instructed us to be there at 5:30. While my mom waited for the security guard to assign her a number, I asked her to take a seat. As she joined the queue, a man preached about the Bible for 30 minutes. The security began calling numbers for people waiting in line at 6:00. When it was my mother's turn, I was allowed to assist her with registration and payment while she sat. The process went smoothly, and my mother appreciated the gentle technique of the nurse collecting her blood sample. Following her urinalysis and blood test, we left the public hospital. My mother, who had fasted, was very hungry. We walked at a nearby eatery for porridge and hard-boiled eggs. After eating, I paid for what we ate and we left. We then went to a private clinic for additional tests that the public hospital does not offer. The nurse there was cheerful, which helped my mother feel at ease during her 2nd blood sample collection for the day. Returning to the parking area, I found my e-bike being blocked by other vehicles. Fortunately, two men kindly helped me remove the blocking vehicles. Before heading home, we made a quick stop at the market to buy some fruits and vegetables. How's your day today?

Thank you! Yes, it was a relief that everything went well. My mother was a bit nervous on collecting her blood sample because some nurses are not good at it. But now I am glad that those nurses are experts. How was your day?

You have been very kind to help your mother. So your mother ate food before the second blood test? She should have waited.

We asked the nurse if it was okay, and he said that it was fine for the particular test my mom needed. She only underwent two laboratory tests in the private clinic because the public hospital did not have them.

@LadyDuck Oh no! I hope she will not repeat the tests because the clinic is quite far and its not easy to drive these days because of the sizzling weather.

@annierose - I am glad. I remember that a nurse said the same to my husband years ago and then he had to repeat the test.

I haven't seen an e-bike in person yet, but have heard of them. It's a good thing you have one cause the appointment was so early. I'm sure the traffic to the hospital was light.

If there's a wheel, there's a way. Yeah haha Oh, I don't know how to ride a bicycle either. So e-bikes only have two wheels? I thought it's similar to a tricycle, but smaller.

@MGjhaud Hahaha! You are right! "If there is a wheel, there is a way." That's a great motto to have. Actually, my e-bike has 3 wheels. Originally, e-bikes had only 2 wheels, but e-bike stores call them e-bikes whether they have 2, 3 , or 4 wheels.

E-bikes can be really helpful, especially in areas with lighter traffic. It is also easy to operate. My mom and my older sister were skeptical when I told them about wanting to buy an e-bike because I don't even know how to ride a regular bike. But I insist, telling them that if there is a will, there is a way.

I had to get my blood drawn last Wednesday. Sunday I found out we didn't have water pressure in the house. Yesterday I got it fixed. I ended up having to get a water tank put in the well. The water works perfectly now. I also worked on my mother's diamond painting. I hope to finish it next week.

I am glad to hear that the water issue is fixed now. Working on the diamond painting sounds like a nice way to unwind. Do you enjoy doing crafts like that?

Good that you could go with your mom and support her. It's also a big emotional support if your family comes with you for such appointments..I hope that all is good with your mom's report.

@annierose Family support is a big emotional support and that helps you heal faster. My day has been busy so far. I want to relax for a while. I will mylot to help me distract from the yawning. I want to take a nap in an hour.

I'm glad you had a good day with the clinic appointments. What is an e-bike?

Thank you Valerie! An e-bike is, short for electric bike, is a bicycle with an integrated electric motor. They often look like regular bicyclces but have a battery pack, motor, and control system that assist with pedaling. They are a popular choice for commuting.
