I guess I re-invented the falfal ball- probably spelled that wrong. I had the idea to make garbanzo bean patties for supper. I used my fun immersion blender to chop carrots, onion and green pepper into bits. And flax seed meal, an old bread crust, those g. beans. An egg. Came out sloppy. I still thought maybe? I made patties and baked them for twenty minutes. Not a good result. So....needed food for supper. Getting hungrier. I grabbed another chunk of old bread from the fridge and whizzed that into bits. And added it to the goopy patty mess. This time around I was able to form balls. I haven't used oil in a month. I poured some oil into a fry pan. No joke. And this time the balls looked edible. A nice crispy edge formed as the balls fried. Yahhoo. Bean doughnuts! Ha ha. Thank God cause by then my achey back had had enough standing up and my stomach was out and out empty.

It sounds like you had quite the culinary adventure, but you managed to pull off a creative solution in the end.I am impressed with your persistence and ingenuity, especially when dealing with the initial setback. It is also great that you go to enjoy a tasty meal after all the effort, and even better that you could sit down and give your back a rest. Cooking can be quite the workout!

@annierose I try to not use pain meds because they aren't good for the kidneys or liver. I try to stretch and do other mild exercises.
