I gave the first step towards selling my house.

Yesterday my brother came back from a walk with several pictures of small one story houses he had seen and they included the phone number of the realtor.
As I know that my brother would not leave me in peace if I did not call, I called one of the numbers.
The young lady who answered was incredibly nice. And she said that she understood everything I said. So, finally, besides sending me lots of houses that met my needs by whatsapp, she told me that we could meet today at my house. And she came.
I turned on the 2 heaters to full and looked at something nice to wear. We talked and I showed her my house. I told her that I wanted to sell my house at the same time I bought another one. At my age, Banks don´t offer me mortgages so I have to pay for the house I buy with the money I get from my house.
And I want to buy a house that is less expensive than mine so that I can remodel it completly. Most small houses here have 3 bedrooms at least anyway and they are very tiny. And I want a big room as I have here.
The young lady told me that my house was worth a lot more than the houses that she had offered me. And besides that, she told me that she felt that my house had "good vibes" whatever that is.
So that´s why I haven´t been here today.
I hope it works. I told her that I would redo the front garden before she took any pictures. I am in no hurry to sell or buy. But I do want to turn my front garden into something nice.
So, this is it. Now I´m in bed. I am not sure if I have eaten enough today. But tomorrow I will.

It will not be so difficult after all. I can even build a sort of storeroom in the new house´s garden or leave one of the rooms for my things while it is being fixed.

This lady seems nice and she could propose a good deal in offering one smaller house in exchange of your nice and big house.Throwing down one wall to make a room larger is not extremely expensive, if that is all what you need to do once you buy your new house.

I know enough of house building in my country as my husband worked in building houses and I learned a lot from him. Houses here are made of brick and concrete because of earthquakes so it all depends on how the house is built. But in my country no house could be made like those american houses you see remodeling on TV. Still, many things can be done. We´ll see.

@marguicha There are no houses in Switzerland built like the American houses. The wind blew at 250 Km/hours in the north of Switzerland the past week... no houses "lost" their roof and no houses were thorn to pieces because of the wind.

@LadyDuck A friend of mine called those american houses "Mickey mouse houses"
They are a lot cheaper though.

I want an old house and I want to remodel it to my needs later on. That´s better than to buy a house that has been already remodeled and it is more expensive.

I was fairly decided since the fire. But I´m not going to a senior home as my daughters suggested. I just want a smaller house.

This is the second time that semeone applauds my house. Once, my brother´s gardener came to help me with something. He told Leticia that he felt comfy in my house whereas he always walked about afraid in my brother´s house for fear of messing something.
