Another weekend is coming to a close. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. I didn't sleep as well as I usually do on Saturday night. I typically sleep best on that night than any other night of the week. I attribute that to complete relaxation. Not sure what threw me off last night. We managed to get our huge raised patio planter set up and dirt in it to allow it to settle before planting. We picked up some marigold and sun flower seeds as well as a couple of tomato and a pepper plant for program tomorrow. The children will be planting seeds and plants to grow at play group. We are watching a little television now until it is time for bed. How was your weekend?

I love that the children will plant seeds and plants. I've had a rainy peaceful weekend. I'm trying to be patient as I wait for the right time to plant summer seeds.

Last year they each planted a sunflower plant and watered it. They were both doing well until the backyard resident bunny decided to nibble on the stem and leveled both of them. The girls were so heart-broken.

I am having trouble sleeping again tonight. I think it is getting a bit warmer than I like it for sleeping, although I do have a fan running.

I had a good weekend, it was lovely weather here in Tawas City. I think planting seeds of great for children, they enjoy seeing the plants grow to produce veggies:)

I was tired for no reason, it's been an average weekend with the usual errands to run. Maybe it was because I've been sick most of the week and had to rest some more to fully recover. No med, water or healthy meal can replace what a good sleep does sometimes.

I agree with you, sleep is so necessary. I feel like I am dragging my tail today, I still need a good night's sleep to break out of this. I hope that you find that tonight.

I remember when the children of my neighbors were young. They loved to grow flowers from seeds... now they do not care anymore.

The girls had a good time putting the dirt from the bag into the pots today and then planting the seeds and plants.

@LadyDuck They have little watering cans that we got them last year and they are good at using them. They will enjoy watering the planters at playgroup.

Glad you got your planter set up and filled. Did it take more dirt than you anticipated?? How exciting for the little ones to be planting seeds at their play group. Watching it all grow will be so much fun for them.

Oh, it took alot of potting soil. The girls each brought home a tiny pot with dirt and either carrot or pepper seeds in them. They are proudly displayed on the kitchen window sill.

Sunday my mother and I went shopping for a kitchen rug and some mulch. We also got some plants and some other kitchen stuff.

The weather in weekend was not good. We had heavy rain and thunderstorm. Just stayed home doing chores, browsing the internet, playing musical instrument.
