The DC Circuit Court of Appeals today upheld Trump advisor Steve Bannon's conviction for contempt of Congress for his refusal to testify in the January 6 House Select Committee investigation. He was convicted last year and appealed on the basis that he wanted the whole lame "executive privilige" excuse that because it involved the then-president he couldn't share information. Another Trump advisor, Peter Navarro, tried the same tactic after his similar conviction but he failed. He lost the appeal, the US Supreme Court declined to hear the case, and he currently is serving 4 months in a federal prison in Miami. I'm not sure why Bannon's case took so much longer since he was convicted first but it seems likely that the Supreme Court will also decline to consider this one. . . which means Steve Bannon is going to jail. He has reached the FO part of FAFO.

Maybe he can borrow some of that worm that ate part of RFK Jr.’s brain to help him get a medical excuse to avoid prison time.

Wow, it's been quite the legal saga for Bannon and Navarro. It's honestly surprising how long Bannon's case took to reach this point, considering Navarro's conviction happened later but he's already serving time. It's a reminder of how intricate the legal system can be. Bannon's argument about executive privilege didn't hold up, and now it looks like he's heading to jail too. The "FO" part of "FAFO" seems fitting here.
