I have been a fan of Dolly Parton's for many years. I am not a country western music fan but I do like most any songs she writes/sings. She has written over 3000. My favorite movies of hers are The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and 9 to 5. She has won a lot of awards and has helped her community in many ways down through the years. She has been someone I respect and she has shown her devotion and love for her husband since they were married in 1966.
Carl Dean, her husband of 55 years was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2019. The progression of the disease has been pretty significant. He no longer recognizes Dolly. She has decided to step back from her touring and be there for him.
I feel so sad for her. But I know her character and devotion to Carl will hold true. She needs to be with him now after giving so many years to her fans.

Dolly Parton is one great artist and human being that in the words of the late singer Donna Summer "Is more than what you see on the horizontal."

Absolutely love the Little Whorehouse and have the video, Was not too fond of 9 to 5. I love lots of her songs, I know they love each other a lot and it is something I would do if I was her,
