There is a reason I like dogs. The stray dogs trust so easily. Their eyes are so innocent. There is so much guilt when I feed them. They look after us, whenever they can. But we don't feed them. When we hit them accidentally, we don't take them to hospitals. They are left barking helplessly, which too becomes objectionable to us. When they react in self defense when people throw stones at them, we blame them, how shameless can we get? And when they eat little babies because their hunger gets better of them, we are out to condemn them, forgetting that they maybe the reason there are fewer rapes, fewer bomb plantings, fewer thefts. Unpaid servants.

That is one tough old lady to be hanging to a tree for a few hours. It was great that a successful rescue could be carried out with the help of the dog.
