Had a Good Supper tonight

The last fewtimes I have had baked chicken, I forgot to put Lime Juice in the butter...I make up some seasoned butter with Paprika, Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic Salt, and pepper. Then I put in the juice of half a lime. Mix it all up, then make sure the skin is separated from the meat, and take a fork full of butter and put it in between the skin and meat. Then take what is left over and smear it on the bottom of the chicken and on top...wash my hands, then sprinkle a little of each seasoning on the skin, and the other half of the lime. The Lime really brings out the flavor of the meat. Learned that down in Mexico...My Ex used to put lime on any kind of chicken we had.
Had some broccoli and mashed taters for sides. Will never forget to put lime on my chicken ever again..it was awesome!

@Ghostlady Be sure and use juice from a real lime. One time I used bottled lime juice and the taste was muted. My Mom really loved those cookies.

@Ghostlady I'm not really a huge fan of Publix. There pharmacy is nice and the stores are clean- but I don't get the big hype with the stores in general. I would much rather go to Aldi.

@thislittlepennyearns If Aldi's Carts were in the parking lots I would shop there. But so far have not seen any carts in the parking lot.

Nothing wrong with that...I am going to Publix tomorrow and getting some sandwich meat.

I have a lot of chicken thighs in my freezer and making some tomorrow, I learned a quick and delicious sauce to bake them with, Salted butter melted in a pot, some soy, a splash of lemon juice or Italian dressing or you could use some lime, and to slightly thicken Thai sauce, Then over the chicken and it sure comes out good,

Sounds good...I love Terryaki chicken wings, but Tom doesn't, but he makes me Terryaki sauce and then makes hot sauce for him.
