I have had to get up from bed twice.

The line phone rang and I got up. It is near, but not so near that I can just pick it up. It was a doctor from traumatology. She wanted to talk to the lady of the house. At this time of my life I can smell a scam so I asked what did she want. She said I´d have to pick a pencil and a paper (to send money maybe?) because (maybe?) one of my loved ones had had a horrible accident and she needed money. She said she would not say more until I gave her some details of MYSELF. I said I wouldn´t and said good by. She changed her tone and answered in a very non professional way. That was it, I supposed. But some time later, the same person, or al least someone with the same name, started to say the same things. I said I would hang up and I did. But I get worried because I don´t know what they can get from you even if you don´t give any details of yourself. Many of these calls are from jail. The inmates have a lot of people out "working" for them.Only yesterday, there was a special commando operation in a jail and an inmate (a Venezuelan who had many killings in his name) had a key to handcuffs of other inmates in his pockets. And we can´t send these people back to Venezuela as Maduro doesn´t want them. So, here I am, having to walk a bit inside my house, because I don´t dare anymore walk around my neighborhood. The world has turned into a violent place.

Once I heard the voice of Claudia asking for help. A mother knows how her daughter´s voice sounds. Fortunatly I had the line phone and the cellphone. I called Claudia and she was fine. She did not believe me when I told her, but they did it to her the very next day.

I once ( a long time ago) gave out information that the Bank was asking me from my PC and they stole over US $ 1000. I think that they left a bit because they discovered that I wasn´t rich.

It sounds like you had a very unsettling experience with that phone call. It's good that you were cautious and didn't give away any personal information. Scams like these are unfortunately becoming more common, and it's wise to be vigilant. It's also worrying to hear about the situation with inmates and the level of crime in your area. It's understandable that you feel uneasy even within your own home. I hope you stay safe and find some peace of mind despite these troubling events.
