Has anybody seen the movie "The Machinist"? It's an excellent movie starring Christian Bale as a machine worker who hasn't slept in over a year. The story is fantastic. Perhaps the most notable thing about the movie was Christian Bale's look, who lost over 80lbs after American Psycho to be in it. Perhaps more amazing is that he regained his physique a year later for "Batman Begins." If you haven't seen it, you should.

That was one hell of a movie! My friend and I were going like "who was it?", "you'd it was him?", "no, think it was the other guy"... Made us paranoid! lol Christian Bale is an excellent actor since i first watched him in "Empire of the Sun". I havent watched batman begins yet. I think i should. ponders on getting the dvd.

I couldnt believe to see how thin he get. Very confused to me, to loose so much weight for a movie...

yep. i've seen it!!! christian bale really was thin in this movie which really is good for his character as someone who could not get to sleep. the twist of the story is interesting. you'll keep on guessing till the end.

I remember hearing about it when it came out, and about Bale's amazing weight loss. That can't be a good thing to do to one's body, to go up and down in weight life that. Same as when De Niro gained a lot of weight for, I think, The Untouchables.

yes, i have watched the movie. i got a little confused on it though. i agree, he was so thin in this movie and his role is very effective as someone who hasn't slept for days!
