Do you reward good responses with a positive rating?

We are an online community here. I am trying to make the effort to mark all responses that have taken my topic into account and have posted relevant responses with a positive rating. If we all do this we can help each other earn more yes?

same here, i try to rate it with a positive rating as always. When I was new with mylot I did not agree with one comment s I rated it with a negative rateing. After a few minutes I recieved a message from my lot about ratings. So from then on I rate only pasitively. Have a nice day.

It was just a message! If someone does not respond in a manner that is relevant or complimentary to your posting then please rate them negatively. Reward those that deserve it and punish those that don't! Thanks for responding.

I do try to rate all my responses. I also try to give a best response, although it usually takes me a while. I like to give everyone a chance to respond before I do that.

Actually I need to make more of an effort to pick a best response. I do try to mark each and every response though with a plus if they are constructive and relevant. Thanks for responding.

yes i do, it will help mylot too rate its users. we act as our own judges to earn our incoem! wah! what a concept! way to go mylot. do rate discussions from the depth of ur heart. just because someone disagrees to your argument for the discussion u strted, do not give them a negative. that is not the point obviously.

Great! I most definitely do not give a negative to someone who disagrees with me as that's what discussion is all about! I am however starting to give negative ratings to people who leave just a yes or no answer. Thanks for responding!

Yes, i do. I appreciate good responses to my discussions. In fact whenever i read good responds even if it is not my discussions, i will still rate them positive. You see, i like reading responds from others especially on discussions that interest me. So i think it pays well to give valuable and good opinion when responding as this helps us to get positive rating not only by people who started the discussion but also from the people who reads it.

I do this for sure in all of my topics. I rarely use a bad one unless I've read multiple bad posts because then it may help them learn when a bunch of people do it and their star goes down. Anyways I gave you a positive and may start doing them to any discussion I read.

I think it's important. It's like buying something through Paypal to me - if the merchant has a bad rating that's way to shady for me and i won't do it. On here, if someone has a bad rating I'm not going to look at their posts, because the community in general obviously doesn't find they have anything to say that's worth hearing. Awesome point and I hope that more myLot users give good ratings to something they found helpful. It really helps you find useful information on here.

I like your idea, but some people will still put inane answers (replies) and will be rewarded with points/money.It is difficult for MyLot to control this.I think if we use the negative reply button more often, then MyLot will start looking at those who receive alot of them and punish them accordingly.

Understood and I can see your point. And as per my last response I will be making sure that negative ratings are given to inane and extremely short answers (unless the question requires a short answer of course!) Thanks for responding!
