My prpblem has been eating potatoe chips at night. This is night 3 off them. It is a record. I bought healthy popcorn to help me through it but so far I haven't needed any. I have started eating my supper alittle later so I am not hungry in the evening. So lets see what happens the rest of this week.

I've been on a diet for 2 1/2 years now. I don't want to gain any weight back. I eat a bag of mixed vegetables before I go to bed at night. Birds Eye has new bags out now where you throw the whole bag into the microwave and 5 minutes later you just put them in a bowl. I think they are called "Steamers." Most of them are about 100 calories.

Frozen Yogurt - B&J's Pfish Food
Since I met you via my "favorite comfort food" post, lol, what about trying some of your favorite flavors of ice cream in a healthier version, perhaps frozen yogurt or a sugar free/fat free ice cream like Healthy Choice. It will kill that craving for a favorite "bad for you" food while still being okay to eat. I was ecstatic to see they now make my favorite Ben & Jerry's Pfish Food in a yogurt version.

try having a peice of fruit anything except a banana. or have a little popcor without too much butter or salt. Or just try having a big glass of water sometimes when ur body is thirsty, it is mistaken as hunger.

I would say if you eating at night, try eating fruit or something that is not high in carbs, a lot of calories, salt or sweets. Hopefully that helps and slowly discipline yourself not to want to snack at night if that's what you trying to accomplish.

You shouldn't eat at all if you can help it before you go to bed, because your body hasn't had the time to fully digest the food, therefore it stays in your stomach making you put on more weight. If you do need to eat something, an apple or a digestive biscuit if you've really got a sweet tooth. I usually opt for a cup of hot chocolate which helps me to sleep and is also something sweet to stop me picking at food!

For healthy snacks, maybe a banana or apple. If you like raw vegetables, you can have pieces of carrot, tomato, green pepper, etc. with some low-cal dressing. The good thing about fruits and veggies is they are low-calorie, and they contain water and fiber, both of which help fill you up. Or some cereal with fiber, like Cheerios, or Grape Nuts, as someone else mentioned.

My only suggestion is to not eat food at night. It's not good for your digestive system.

Yogurt or even fruit. I've heard that it keeps your metabolism going. But it's also not dull, it does indeed have flavor, more like is full of flavor. But it also fills you up. At least this is what I have found! . . I remember when I was growing up how my Aunt would have a bowl of pop corn every night while watching television. But it was indeed plain popcorn, with no salt, no butter, nothing. She told me that there was hardly any calories, or fat by eating it this way. I have a difficult time eating it this way as I find it not to taste all to good. But I am sure if one was to eat a lot of it that it would be filling & would be a much healthier snack in thee end. Another good choice I'd have to say would be either.. Cereals or even oat. Because they are high in fiber, but also.. Have negative calories or barely any. I personally snack on pretzels from time to time.. I find them to be yummy, but in moderation they aren't all to bad.. I know what it's like to snack at night.. I have that problem sometimes to.. I try to eat a lot of fruit if I become hungry.. I find it can fill you up if you pick the right one to snack on.. Or even cut up a bunch of fruit & put it in a bowl so you have a variety to choose from..

You should actually try not to eat anything after 7pm from what I have heard from health experts. If you do eat something it should be something like grapes, banana or apple. Fruits are good snacks and healthy at any time of the day in my opinion.

well..if you like celery, it's a perfect alternative to junk food! it fills you up quickly and its really good for you! it's basically like drinking water..only it fills you up quicker and has more taste...but if u dont really like the taste of celery (like me)..try dipping it in peanut butter! its sooo yummy and the PB makes it taste soo much better! PB is also good for you..just not too much! i hope ive helped you!!
