Your Mini's Behavior

Hi guys, I'm stressing out over how to get my mini to quit tearing up paper. He goes several weeks without touching a thing and then BAM he's at it again. I'm starting to think he's just trying to punish my husband and I for going to work and leaving him at home. Any suggestions on how to keep him "occupied" while we are away? We've tried the crate route and that just makes things worse. HELP!

I don't have a Mini but I know puppies and young dogs love paper. My daughter's poodle is almost 2 years old and she still gets the paper, especially toilet paper every single chance she gets ! I would try to not tempt him for awhile. Keep all the doors closed that he can get paper from and try to keep it up and out of his reach. Another thing my daughter learned from her poodle, she hates to be sprayed with a water bottle. You don't even have to spray her half the time, just get the bottle out and wham she behaves! Instantly, it's so cute sometimes to see her do this. Just like a kid. Good luck :)
