I'm actually on a few different meds for depression, anxiety, insomnia etc etc...I take Zoloft, Trazadone and Clonazepam and they all seem to help but i also find that meditation, journal writing, yoga and understanding the root of it all has been a big help as well

I took Paxil back in school and it worked fairly well for the most part .I dint not really have any bad side effects . Lost of times you have to work with your doctor to what what will work with you .

klonopin is an anti anxiety med. I used to take that. But when I first started having panic attacks i was put on paxil. I took it for years and it helped a lot. no more panic attacks at all. Now I take zoloft cause of the weight gain from paxil, I also cut out all caffene drinks, they can trigger a panic attack in me. My anxiety med is valium

I take Lexapro. My insurance won't pay for it anymore though and I was forced to take generic Prozac. I HATED it!! It did nothing for me and I felt like crap. Its the only thing my good-for-nothing insurance will pay for. The nurse at my dr's office gave about 7 months of lexapro samples, not sure what i'm going to do when those run out...

I took paxil and it did nothing. Then again, I really didnt give it much of a shot. I am now on lexepro. It seems to be working. Some of my triggers have disappeared. I am getting ready to try another trigger soon... rides!

It is good that with all the side effects you gave up Zoloft. Prozac has side effects also and a couple more serious. I would hope for a more natural approach. Valerian is good a night for night time episodes. So vitamin, herbs and change to a good eating style can all help. Good luck with this!!

I've taken Prozac some years ago and I don't think anyone should look for alternatives. This med is highly affective and has helped me to stop my anxiety and insecurity problems.

ativan on an occasional basis, because my attacks are few and far between but still debilitating. The ativan helps tremendously but it's addictive so I have to be careful.

When I had my panic attacks my neurologists let me try these, Benzodiazepam, Valium and Rivotril. Among the 3, Valium and Rivotril works best. It only takes around minutes for it to kick in. But I don't take it as much as possible because of 3 things. 1)I will get dependent on it and if run out of meds I'll automatically panic even on normal situations. 2)When you constantly take it for a long period of time your body system will tend to get used to it and when your next panic attack will come the anti-depressants might not work at all. 3)Anti depressants have a serious effect on you liver.
