and don't see anything wrong with it? My sister is married to an afro-american and they both live in Georgia, a black dominated neighborhood. She confided to me that white people just can not call a black person ni...er without starting a war. But among themselves, there is nothing wrong. I don't understand? She even said that when they are having fun in the family, she sometimes call her husband "Get out of here, you stupid ni....er" and they will just both laugh. Can you walk in a black neighborhood and call someone ni...er?If some people find this posting offensive. My apologies. It was never my intention and I wanted to say this very gently.

hello. i have seen these scenes in films. and i also wonder why. they themselves call each other by such a word and don't feel bad about it. but when someone (another race) try to call them by that word, too, they feel bad about it. i mean, if i call them by such a word, i don't really mean bad about it. i just think it's cool to hear. but that's not rude, right? like me, i have friends who are white. but i don't get mad if they call me overcooked since i am brown. i just laugh about it.

I really don't know why they use that word on themselves, but it is ok for them to do it, but it NOT ok for anyone else to say it. I would tell you that that is probably one of the single most offensive words I can think of. And no, you canNOT walk into a black neighborhood and call someone that. You'll end up hurt.
