Eating Chicken Daily = Harmful?

I'm on a high protein diet because I want to shed off a few pounds. It's weird because I eat only fish and chicken meat. Fish is okay but I think I still feel hungry after eating it. That's why I'm eating chicken at least once a day. Can it be harmful? I'm afriad I might just grow boobies because I've heard that some chickens are being injected with all sorts of chemicals so that they grow faster. What do you think?

I would loose some kg as you, but I'm trying to have a balanced feeding, because our body needs proteins, vitamins and all food can give us. If you eat only fish you will loose all things contained in meat! And viceversa! Try to always change your diet. The best thing to loose weight is to MOVE! Try do not sit down and stay there forever, run, do some sport as swimming or running on bycicle or running on your feet! And buy only *quality meat*. In Italy we have some controlled meat as Amadori chicken...it's verified and secure to eat. They are a little expensive than non branded ones..but you know what you eat! If you have fear of what they can inject in meat...thinks that sea is polluted....and big fishes are more contaminated than small ones. I've heard that blue fin tuna is contaminated by mercury! And other fishes too ;-(. Another advice...try to eat all you can, but in little doses. Try to have a correct feeding and do some sport...a daily walk for example if you need to loose not much pounds. I hope this can help!

Yeah, I might just be paranoid about the chicken. I still have to research because I really think some agricultural companies try to infuse growth hormones in chicken feed so they could grow twice as fast. Just an hour ago, I just ate chicken curry. Chicken again.

I heard you should eat chicken meat, lean meat once every 10 days if you want to lose weight. I already started my diet. eating very small portions several times a day, drinking lotsa water, exercising. will keep you posted on the weight loss progress. If i were you, eat lotsa veggies and exercise. fish is good. just remember you need meat every 10 days. good luck.

i think in some ways eating chicken everyday is harmful. i have allergies with chicken so i seldom eat chicken and eggs too. i like to eat pork and beef only, and vegetables and fruits.

Completely untrue. I had boobies before I ate a lot of chicken LOL. I have been eating chicken or fish everyday now for a year. Recommended by my doctor and I am healthier and feel better than I ever have!

I have to add I also eat lots of salads, fresh fruit and some dairy products plus a"one a day" vitamen supplement I lost 59lbs in weight due to an illess. I have not gained any back.

in my case eating chicken is harmful, because im allergic to them. hehe. i seldomly eat chicken because it gives me the itches. there's some report that a certain chicken food chain does'nt use the word chicken on their trade name. only the initials. why? because they don't produce and breed normal chickens anymore. they actually use genetically manipulated organisms. these so called "chickens" are kept alive by tubes inserted on them to pump body & nutrients throughout their structure. their product doesnt have feathers, beak nor feet like normal chicken does. pure living meat. imagine that your eating at this chain without knowing that the fried chicken you ordered is not actually a chicken. so probably if you wanna eat some chicken, never eat at this store. you'll probably get more than boobies...

I don't think it's advisable to eat it everyday. Can you add different proteins like tofu, cottage cheese or beans for your main course?

I would want tofu but it's not always available. I feel hungry if I do not have at least one meat dish. This is why I'm trying out salads for a while, with shrimps and other seafoods. I also bought protein shake to help me ease out my chicken craving. I hope this is a good idea.

I have tried the high protein diet and I did lose a lot of weight fast. Like 20 lbs in 2 months. I didnt notice my self growing any more boobies but I would not be so upset being a girl and all. I would try to ballance out my diet a little more. Nuts are a great source of protien and they are easy to snack on. Look at the south beach web site. They have lots of tips there and great meal ideas too.
