My Friends and Their Discussions

Well, I only have two friends who don't start discussions that frequently, but I find things to respond to - just check out the new discussions every now and then; that's how I found this discussion! It seems a bit pointless to only respond to the discussions of your friends.

I also have difficulty to find good discussion to respond too and a lot of my friend didnt made any in some days. Also I don.,t find every topic interesting. I am trying to create a topic once a week but these days i don't have a lot of time to go on Mylot. I made 12$ last month and now I'M just at 3$.

I know what you mean, wmg. I have a few friends that have been starting a lot of discussions - but they haven't related to me. I have been at a loss lately of what to start for a discussion. That is my goal today is to start thinking again. I've been so busy with day-to0day things that I really don't think that I will make minimum payout this month. :(

Yes, I have noticed the same. I know this post is 4 weeks old as I reply to it,and the problem has worsened daily! I read in a few discussions of people who experimented and only posted one day and they weren't paid...they theorized that myLot was no longer paying for us to post discussions. I sure hope they are wrong in their theory!

You may go to each friend's profile and read through all the discussions they have started and respond to them accordingly, most especially those discussions they started that have no responses yet will be greatly appreciated.

I have had this problem when I joined Mylot 2 weeks back.I wasn't sure if I should randomly choose any discussion I came across because I was finding it difficult to get good discussions.But ,I am a little better off now that I have some friends who start good discussions.It saves time from browsing the site and I can directly start exercising my brain from the word 'go'.They say boredom causes more fatigue to the brain than work and I can't disagree with them.

I havent started any new discussions in a while it may have been a little over 2 months.I really have not came up with anything good to discuss.When i do im sure you will respond.Take care.

I make at least a couple of them in a week. Im doing mostly responding these days its the way to go. And alot of us are not spending as much time on here anymore to come down to it mylot is just cheap. And I couldnt be bothered wasting my time. So I just come in to keep my account active and thats about it.

hey! I start new discussions at least a few times a week. Don't you like my discussions :)

You have so many friends and you have this problem?I'm one of them and the truth is i don't start my own discussions so often Sometimes I feel if i haven't a quality discuss to start better is do nothing.Of course I haven't so much as you but some of my friends they can start many at all together.OK but if you read......you want help but the discussions are so......I don't know what word I must use.So sometimes I just prefer shut up and just post response.

Yes I have noticed this, and it's getting harder and harder to find posts to post to. I think most of my friends have been here at least 3 months if not longer and they are starting to burn out or run out of ideas to post. It's all I can do to come up with one a day.

Yes I notice good discussions are much less now, I myself didn't start any new discussions for a week now and usually don't start more than two or three discussions a week, sometimes I can start a discussion daily but I'm busy and distracted lately and don't want to start discussions because i may not be able to read and comment on responses if they get popular.. Still it's strange that with 440 friends you are having this problem, maybe many of them no longer login to mylot, you should delete all inactive and renew your list with more new active friends..

I noticed the same thing. I added some because they had good discussions and I enjoyed replying to them. They must be busy with the real life. I hope they start posting some more soon.

Well my 2 cents worth. I have a couple of theorys' about this. I think one of the things that happens is when people start they are overly zealous and as time goes on they loose the enthusiasm and there fore less posting. It also could be that because you have replied to so many topics that now there are no unique postings. As more and more members join the harder to find the good discussions as they get lost under the people who spam or start one ridiculous discussion after another, thereby loosing some quality discussions. What's the solution to this problem? I really don't have one except to say that if people had to spend more time on a discussion rather than be able to upload one after the other maybe we would have more to choose from. Just my thoughts on this. I have trouble on certain days. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday seem t be very slow on new discussions that I can contribute to. :)

Yes, you're right about to scolding us a bit... As for me, I never was very good in asking questions. But I try to do my best and start a discussion a week. Good ideas, where are you?

I know what you mean but I have about 4 pages of unanswered questions. I realize some of them are about a very specific topic but some have just slipped under the radar. I try to go through some of my friends' profiles about once a week trolling for unanswered questions. I personally feel all questioned out but I contribute when I can. On the other hand I never ask a question about something I don't really care about. I try to keep it real. Sometimes I like trolling through the new discussions. There's usually one or two decent questions over there.

440 friends? Did I read that right? Wow, wmg you sure have a big fan following..lol I had around 100+ friends before and did some cleaning up and now have around 78 I think. And to tell you frankly they are the best one can have, every one of them starts very good discussions and everyday since I start off with the mail notifications, I have atleast 30 posts done with just friends' discussions. What more can I ask for?:) Only after I'm done with the mail notifications I start looking for topics on other sections here.

I've been trying to start 2-4 topics a day when I have enough time. I know that this isn't much help, but I hope that it helps you out a little bit, lol! I do also find it harder and harder to find things to reply to, but it's not due to a lack of new subjects, for me.. it's just due to having replied to over 3,500 posts in about a month and a half, and feeling like I've already said a fair bit of what I can think of to say, lol. But I'm still loving my time here! Somedays it's just harder to find something to reply to than it used to be. I hope that you especially will keep starting great topics! I've always enjoyed your posts a lot! ^_^

Yes I agree with you. I will try to keep up my end by posting more interesting discussions. This will be easier when I get to 500 because right now I'm to lazy to retype all my popsci writing into the textboxes.

It seems it takes a long time to accumlate any money, and all that time could be better spent. Maybe thats why you're friends have stopped making as many posts
