if you have your hair treated, e.g. hair straight or hair relax..it is advisable that you have it hot oiled twice a month. but my friend from a salon suggested that i switch to a service called hair reborn. it's an intensive treatment specially those treated hair. it will make your hair soft and lustrous..

I have heard that massaging mayonaise into your hair, leaving it on for a while, and then rinsing it out will make your hair shiny and friz free. I am not sure if it works but it would be cheap to try.

you can use coconut juice for conditioned your hair. Use it about 1 hour before shampoo it.

I too have long hair and the use of conditioners can be a good thing. Washing your hair should be more of a gentle type. I think that Suave is a good brand and have great results with Pantene, though that is more expensive.. I ask for it for Christmas. Trim is every 3 months or so too will help reduce the split ends. Salons will just take your money, their products are great however you don't need to waste your money there. There is also Frizzese too, I loved that when I permed my hair. Good luck with this.

Curly hair or hair with life can be tamed and am glad you asked here. Many do have good ideas and you never know where it can come from. Hope you can tame it and enjoy the length. With length, it should straighten some with the weight. Thanks for responding to me.

yeah, it's way too expensive especially with the long hair.this is my first time to grow my hair this long coz my mom likes it short before.so it was low maintenance compared now that it is long,i have to comb it often.i haven't try rebonding or relaxing my hair because it'stoo expensive for me.

The above answers are so good. I use olive oil as # 5 does and also let my conditioner set on my hair for awhile. I can not use anything on it with out rinsing out, but some do well with these. The Frizzese is really good stuff, But the olive oil as a leave on for a really bad case of the frizzies really sounds like a good bet.

try putting olive oil on the ends. do NOT let it touch your scalp though you'll smell like burgers and fries. put it on the ends of your hair and then put a ziplock bag over it and secure it. leave it in for overnight equivelance exposed to heat.

If you're using conditioner, try applying the conditioner as you are finishing your bath. Then don't rinse just yet. Wrap it in plastic, leave it alone for a while for about 20-30 minutes- do your chores first, if you like, then rinse it off. After your hair dries, use lotion to tame fly away hair. And I mean hand/body lotion, although not much. That usually works for my hair.

If you use conditioner, only apply it after you've towel dried your hair. Use a tiny amount--like your little fingernail size drop. Massage throughout your hair, and don't rinse it out. I buy expensive conditioner, but a small amount lasts me 2 years. I've never understood using a handful of it then rinsing it out. Another thing you can do for very dry hair: put a drop of olive oil in your palm and rub your hands together. Now rub this into your hair. If you have access to glycerin, you could use a drop of this, too. It actually attracts moisture. These are far more economical than commercial de-frizzers, and are actually healthy for your hair.

do you mean a leave-on conditioner?

No, regular is fine. The key is to just use a small amount, so you don't land up with oily hair.

when i was young my mother tried aloe vera for my hair,it worked.i just don't know why it is all frizzy now, maybe because of the sudden change of weather or what.i did use coconut before,it is a natural hot oil treatment for me.however,i just don't like the smell.
