Here's a new product that I saw used on a makeover show, I believe it was on HGTV, not too long ago. I love the idea and am going out to purchase a roll for my fridge which looks like it's on its last legs. The fridge was left here by the previous owner and since I didn't have one I figured I may as well keep it as opposed to having to purchase a new one but it looks sooooooo bad! So some of this stainless steel adhesive sheet should have it looking like I'm miss rich pants! LOL http://www.ohgizmo.com/2006/10/22/faux-stainless-steel-finishes/ Check out the faux stainless steel. This might be the answer to your dreams of a stainless steel kitchen!

Now that is a cool idea! Stainless steel appliances seem to be all the rage right now and this sounds like a great alternative or those on a budget. That would definitely be me LOL! Thanks.

There's also a spray paint that is just for appliances.. and I would guess you could get it in "stainless steel". But I'm not sure how close to the real thing it actually looks, or if it ends up being any cheaper than this product. Neat invention, though! :) Definitely peaks my interest!

Hubby would love this stuff. But, until finances get better, we are stuck with our 1980's utilities. Oh well. I like the shine of the finish and it definately would spruce the kitchen up. Thanks for the link H-Gal

When you get your stainless steel appliances can I come live with you? I saw a whole kitchen with even the counters, backsplaces, and sinks done in stainless. OMG it was gorgeous. I want either ceramic or hardwood floors in the kitchen too.

Wow that is such a great tip. I have never heard of this stuff before. I wonder how it clean up. Will it stain quickly or will I have to purchase special stuff to clean it. I have wanted stainless steel appliances also. This may be an idea. The problem is that my fridge just tore up this morning so now I will be purchaseing a new one in a few days, unless I can get this one fixed. I dont think I will put this stuff on a new one. I bookmarked the site you reccomended.

I have never heard of such a thing! Wow...does it really stick that well though or does it lose adhesiveness like contact paper? Will magnets "stick" through it as if on a refrigerator?

I think I saw it on HGTV awhile back, and it looked really nice. I am not sure if its a easy process. After you try it, can you post some pictures. Thanks.

YOu know I am one of those people who don't really care for the stainless stell look so I would never buy this. But it doens sound like a terrific option for those who want the look but can't afford the real thing. I just love HGTV. They always have great things and give great ideas on how to upgrade without spending a lot of money.

i think they look nice but they are hard to keep clean. they easily show fingerprints and grease and dirt. just make sure to get the sheets completely straight with no bubbles so it doesn't look fake. lol. i'm sure you won't. it sure is much cheaper. maybe they won't be as hard to keep clean.

We went to the RV show this weekend and I saw a few brand new motor homes woth a faux stainless look to the fridges. It looked great and best of all it didnt show finger prints like the real appliances do. We have an older motor home that is mechanicaly great but is in desperate need of a face lift. I want to brighten it up with some lighter colors and see if it feels a bit more open. Our little fridge has a fake wood laminate on it that would look great in stainless. I am definately going to try this out.

Wow, thats an excellent idea! I've seen adhesive sheets for cupboards before to make them look better, and even like they're made of Wood, but I haven't seen anything for Appliances before. This is really pretty cool. I wish we could use something like that for our fridge, but unfortunately I don't think the building manager would like it lol, seeing as how the fridge is their property and not ours. Same with the stove. they're both this horrible sort of greenish yellowy color and it looks horrible. Ah well, a girl can dream LOL.

I'd never seen anything like that. It is neat I admit. I bit on the pricey side in my opinion but it is a neat thing to be able to do. Maybe if it comes out to the stores and a bit more within my price range I'd check into it. I have to admit I loved how they showed it on the counter top. That would be very nice to do.

I actually saw this on Debbie Travis. It looked good but I don't know I am not good with stuff like that. I would be picking up every flaw. But that's just me. I know there is appliance paint too. We redid our freezer way back when and it turned out good. Good luck if you do it.
