Certainly I will correct them for the first time. If they repeat the same mistake I will excuse them. If they commit the same mistake for the third time, I belt them. What about u.

Maybe sometimes, not always. you need to be extremely patient.

It entirely depends on the relationship you share with the person...if he is ur husband or son you can easily correct them ...but if they are elderly and you have a formal relation with them ....you shouldnt correct them right then and there....but could give them a hint later on....in way in which they wont feel insulted...

I tolerate it and try not to judge them. Not everyone was taught to speak correctly.

I guess if it's really needed to correct my friends, I would, but in a nice way. Especially when we are conversing with aperson who's fisrt language is english, I would surely help my friend fro him to be understood. But most of the times when we are talking with a foreigner, they almost got the idea of what my friend was trying to converse..

No, I don't think that correcting them can solve the problem. The only thing it can do is to offend them. What I can do is to say politely that I didn't understand what they were saying, and if they can repeat again.

if the friend is in my real life....i would try to correct him or her, but here in mylot there are people who are from different countries, where english is no tnecessarily first or official language, but still they are trying to say something, want to interact with us, so we must welcome them not try to improve their language, they wll improve it by themselves only after few days, cos here there are many people who hv very fluent english, so just discuss topics no matter how the english is.......

If they are your friends , it is fine to correct them if they do not mind. I do not mind if i cannot understand in the first time, ask until you get their meaning. If I am speaking to a stranger ,when it says somethign wrong ,for sure , i will not correct them as long as i can understand them becuase it is impolite to do it. I treat english as a communication tool, for those who speaks english as second language to a native speakers, we should already appreciate them, not laughing at them.

I think it depends on the situation. I will correct his/her english if he's a close friend of mine. I think it is rude to correct the english of the person you're talking to especially if he/she's not your friend (e.g. business talks, online chatting). It all depends on the situation.
