We've all got 'em. How helpful or harmful would you say they've been to you? For me, they've helped a lot in terms of communicating with people, but I often see people drive with them. That's kind of dangerous.

I think its funny that you say we all have them. I don't have one. I don't like that I can be constantly interrupted, or be fussed at because peoplethink that having a cell phone means you should be available all the time.

Well okay, not everybody, but I've always lived in cities and it seems like everyone drives with them on. I always thought of a cell phone as a need. To each his own.

I own a cell phone and I can tell you, with proper use they can definitely be helpful. I keep mine on me at all times and it has done a world of good for me. They are definitely a help if you are ever involved in a wreck, broke down on the side of the road, if someone needs to get ahold of you immediately in case of an emergency but I will state my next point very clearly. If you are the owner of a cell phone, you should not drive and talk at the same time. If you feel that neccessity to drive and talk they make hands free devices such as blue tooth to where you do not have to have your hands off of the wheel although I think you should tell whomever is calling you that you are driving and you will have to call them back. There is a time for talking and a time for responsibility. If you are getting a call from someone and you it is important enough that you need to answer it, find the nearest location to pull off to the side of the road and take the call. If it is not important enough for you to pull over then it isn't something that can't wait until you get home and out of your vehicle. Plus take into consideration the fines that you can incur from being caught driving and talking on your cell phone at the same time.
