Anyone here travel Delta and ever been on a 767-200-ER?

I am flying out of Philadelphia on Thursday next week and I am then going to fly from Atl to LAX on one of these planes and was wondering if they are a safer way to fly. I am thinking it is, cause it is so big and chances would be greater to get out if it crashes. Unless it blows up. Then I am doomed! I am scared to death cause I am flying alone, my son said once I get the first flight I will be fine. Maybe that's all it is.
