Has anyone been to Taiwan? was thinking of going over for a holiday. I have yet to visit the country, can anyone give advise on where to go, what to do?

If you go to visit Taiwan, you can visit Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan.You can take some pictures or shopping in 101. If you like scenery, you can go to Yang Ming Shan where you can see some beautiful views. If you want to see sunrise, you can go to Ali Shan.

i have been to taiwan a long time ago, i forgot most of the details of our trip... but if i'm going to taiwan right now, i would definitely like to visit the Taipei 101... there are also a lot of sightseeing places such as Sun Moon Lake, Alishan, Temples, Shrines, Gardens, etc...

Sorry David, I can't help you in this. I never had the opportunity to visit Taiwan. Hope I will make it there in the near future. Have a great trip and a holiday

Yes. It gives me a very developed country feel. Shi Lin market is definitely a must go. So much things to see, buy and eat. I love the food. I like to eat pig/duck blood and so far I can only find it readily available in Taiwan. So fantastic. I eat so much of it. I took a taxi (private one). He drives like a speed demon and my friends and I were a little scared although at the end of the day, we kind of enjoyed the experience. hahaha...
