How many hours of sleep do you get everyday?

And how do you feel about it? Do you think you are getting enough sleep/rest or whenever you get up in the morning you feel like you are still exhausted? I probably get 6 hours of sleep, and I really want to get some more time to sleep when I can, but I have to get up for work, and at night I don't wanna just go straight to sleep, cause it feels like everything is a routine. It isn't that bad anyways, sometimes it is enough, but there are times that I just feel exhausted even after sleeping. How about you?

hello,I want to talk something about your sleeping ,I think that you sleep too long everyday ,because 7 hours is enough ,it is good for our health ,11 hours is too long ,first:it is no good for your body ;second :it wastes time. Sertianly you should not be too tierd first of all.

at home i may get from 2 to 6 hours sleep, mainly because i am bored stiff, so i am doing work on the computer all the time, but when i am at work i can get up to 14 hours a day, after doing the watchs at the wheel and unloading the cargo then doing the paper work, i get tired, and we have got some long steams inbetween islands to do, so we can allways catch up on sleep then, some of the islands can be 14 hours away, not much else to do but watch dvd's, eat, sleep and drive the boat, it's a hard life, but some one has to do it, and up in the torres straight ( top of australia ), one of the best places to be on the planet

Sleep is very important for our body. We need it in order to replenish our strength. I usually get about 6-7 hours of sleep daily. That is usually enough for me. However, there are days when I have a harder time getting out of bed. Sometimes that is so because I stayed up later than usual the night before. Unlike some individuals, if I do not get enough sleep, I have a hard time functioning the next day. So for me, I must have sufficient sleep if I want to wake up refreshed and energized for the next day.

If your work schedule is stressing you out big time, then I would suggest that you ask for a different shift or change jobs, take note that health is much more important than anything else, and being tired with work then not getting enough quality rest will wear you out. So maybe try finding another job if the schedule really isn't working out for you.. All the best!

around 6-7 hours. im lucky if i get 8. there are days when i feel like ive had enough, and there are days when i just want to sleep the whole day... i guess it also depends on what you have to do that day. is it something that excites you or not? and also, it depends on the weather, if its cold, its nice to stay in bed.

I sleep average 6 to 8 hours per day. I think that it is as important to choose when you sleep as how long you slept. For example, I will feel more refresh and less exhausted when I sleep for 8 hours from 11 pm to 7 am as compared to sleeping for 10 hours from 1 am to 11 am. Maybe each individual have their unique sleeping time. I feel best when I have 6 to 8 hours of sleep per day but feel more exhausted when I sleep less or more.

I get a full 8 hours of sleep and sometimes even more..lol I stay at home while hubby goes to work so I can wake up anytime I want. I do wake up early though, coz I want to get more done here on mylot and also because if I wake up late, I would feel lazy the whole day. I have a good night's sleep so I'm refreshed every single morning:)

My sleep sometimes are truly destroyed. I don't know what happened to me, but I ussually start to sleep at 10:00 PM, and I wake up at 2:00 AM and sleep again at 3:30 AM. After that I wake up again at 5:00 AM and never sleep again.

I think too much sleep makes you tired. Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed when you oversleep. I sleep for 9-10 hours, if I have to finish something then I don't sleep late.

Hmm... I guess I have that lazy spell too... I was never the awake-get up right away type, I basically need 30mins of lying down and staring into space before I finally get up from bed.. hehe... And yeah I have never ever been a morning person, I can't even imagine how I survived grade school and high school whereas we need to be in school by 7:15am. I can't even manage to wake up at 8am now. hahaha..

I normally get 7 hours of sleep. I feel well rested if I get that. Though the past month, I've been waking up after 6 hours and I feel a bit exhausted. I'm not a good napper, so that's out. Hoping I get back on track.

6~7 hours per day. That is enough for me.the most important thing is quality of the sleep not the quantity.

i know what you mean about not enough sleep. my husband is a trucker driver and has to get up all hours of the night. i get up too and most of the time stay up. by the time saturday comes, we are both exhausted too. i know we aren't getting enough sleep and like you said sometimes it is alright and sometimes it isn't. sheila
