Is DELL really sucks?

I'm always reading blogs and found out that Dell's customer are really dissapointed with their customer service and product that they are offering to the customer.Is this true or not? What rate can you give to Dell for their customer service and Products quality? Pls rate them from 1-10.

I am a Dell technical support agent. I am not going to rate Dell's customer service bec I might be biased. Dell has lots of contact centers and each customer who has called Dell may have various experiences with Dell's service. I cannot contest about the issue of Dell's outsourcing in India bec I have talked to customers being upset about the language barrier, but there are some who don't mind so long as the issue was resolved. And as an employee, we do have high metrics in terms of customer experience to ensure that every customer is well taken care of.

Frankly, I doubt you'll find any computer company that is known for great customer service anymore. Dell used to have the best service, then they outsourced it to India just like HP/Compaq and almost every other manufacturer. You get some tech support agent who you can't understand, and who doesn't understand your problem. They typically go through a lame script that never addresses the problem you try to explain. I've never owned a Dell, but as an independent system builder and computer tech, I can tell you that customer service has gone down the tubes with most of the big companies. If you want good service, find a reputable system builder or computer shop that can build a machine for you. That way the person giving you tech support is the same person who built your machine, not some guy who asks if your machine is plugged in when you tell him that microsoft word isn't working.

1 is the lowest? I can't give them like -5? Guess then 1... I really hate them, and I'm NEVER going to byt anything from Dell ever again. That's mistake you only make once.

The first ones we bought from them are great and still run great, but then Dell started outsourcing their Customer service and Tech support to India, and now it sucks. I am not going to write my last experience but put it this way next time I need to buy a new computer I am buying a MAC.
