how would you respond if your son or daughter was not straight?

not many people react well, which often discourages people from coming out, especially if it were to your parents.... what would be your reaction? supportive, dismissive, or plain indifferent?

I would have a discussion with them, first, to see if they are really sure that they are homosexual. If they are, then I would have to accept it. I wouldn't love them any less or treat them badly because of it. I know all my church friends would "look down" on me because I won't force him/her to change, but that's their problem.
